In the Office

BASI Pilates prides itself in having some of the finest teachers in the industry on our faculty. The process to become a BASI Pilates Teacher Trainer is a lengthy one and only the most qualified and dedicated are invited to join our staff worldwide.

A small but very dedicated team of administrators, designers and information technicians back up the teaching staff. It is this tightly knit group that helps BASI Pilates give each student the highest quality education while maintaining personal attention to the individual’s needs.

Jennifer Abbott

Jennifer is an Administrator at BASI Pilates. She relocated to Orange County in January 2010 and joined the team at BASI Headquarters in Costa Mesa shortly thereafter. Graduating just two years ago with a degree in Interior Design and Art from Oregon State University, she brings a strong background in customer service and is cultivating a growing interest in Pilates and fitness.

When she’s not working, she spends her free time West Coast swing dancing, exploring Southern California, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Constance Holder

Constance is BASI Pilates Director of Education. She already had a rich background in movement technique, holistic health and nutritional training when she entered the BASI Comprehensive Teacher Training Course in the late 90’s. Following the course, she joined the staff at the BASI studio, On Center Conditioning, and subsequently joined the BASI Faculty.

Constance is a Principal BASI Faculty member and the company’s first Director of Education.  She regularly teaches the Comprehensive course in Costa Mesa and has participated in numerous workshops, conferences and symposiums.

Constance and her husband, Glen, raise American Quarter Horses in beautiful Ojai Valley, California for both show ring and ranch work.  This wonderful combination of the study of human and equine movement has given Constance an eye for precision - and a heart for compassion.

Roy Isacowitz

Roy is BASI Pilates Director of Marketing. His main claim to fame is his family relationship (cousin) with BASI Pilates founder Rael Isacowitz. Prior to joining BASI in the summer of 2009, he was a print journalist and editor, an electronic media entrepreneur and a corporate marketing executive. He finds BASI calming and wholesome, after decades in the corporate arena.

Jeanne King

Jeanne is BASI Pilates International Administrator. A BASI Pilates certified instructor, she brings with her a rich background in dance, movement and not-for-profit customer relations and fundraising.  Jeanne holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Oklahoma, where she had the privilege of training with principals of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo.

Prior to becoming a Pilates professional, Jeanne was associated with the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association as the Manager of Special Events for 13 years.  Her extensive interpersonal skills contribute to the high standards set by BASI Pilates

Kristy is BASI Pilates Financial Officer,  responsible for the  company’s financial administration. She began her accounting career in an Orange County, CA, accounting firm, where she gained a wide range of experience in start-ups and small business corporations.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach, and is currently studying for her CPA Certification.

Kristy resides in Huntington Beach with her two children. She enjoys reading, running, cooking and spending time with her family.
